AC MILAN 1-1 WERDER BREMEN

Brazil midfielder Diego gave Werder Bremen a UEFA Cup lifeline with a late equaliser on Wednesday to seal a 1-1 draw against AC Milan in the Round of 32 first-leg clash.
"The goal really pleased me, it is very important and was a special strike," said Diego after his crucial goal with just six minutes remaining.
"Nevertheless, we cannot be contented with 1-1, it was always going to be hard in Milan and the draw makes things harder still, but we are determined to progress in the tournament."
Many of the 36,000-strong crowd had come to see AC Milan's England star David Beckham, on loan from LA Galaxy, while the Italian giants wrestle with the United States club for the services of the global superstar.

But Beckham spent the vast majority of the game on the bench and it was Bremen's Brazilian who kept his side in the competition with an 84th-minute goal after he finally found the net after the home side squandered a huge amount of chances.
"We played the second-half determined to score a goal against AC Milan, that gives me hope," said Bremen coach Thomas Schaaf.
"Unfortunately, we do not have superiority in the scoreline.
"1-1 against Milan is not bad, but not good enough for the amount of energy we spent.
"However, if we repeat that second-half in Milan, we would be in with a chance."

Bremen are struggling at tenth in the Bundesliga, while AC Milan are third in Serie A, but it was the Germans who took the game to the Italians.
Diego's super strike mean Bremen go to Milan's San Siro stadium on February 26 for the second-leg with a slim chance, but with 23 shots on goal - compared to Milan's seven - Bremen should have won the game.
The Italians took the lead when Filippo Inzaghi's initial header from a Mathieu Flamini cross was blocked, but the striker was on hand to put Milan ahead by pouncing left-footed on the rebound after just 32 minutes.
It was veteran Inzaghi's 66th strike in UEFA club competition.
It looked like Milan had secured a precious away win until Diego rifled the ball into the back of
the net after Portuguese striker Hugo Almeida won the ball in the air and the Brazilian made no mistake on 84 minutes.
With Galaxy and Milan tussling for Beckham, the ex-England captain played no more than a cameo role when he took over from Brazil's Ronaldinho after 89 minutes.
It remains to be seen if he will be a confirmed Galaxy or Milan player by the time of the second
leg next Thursday.

For me just by looking at the starting line up have spark the possibility of Bremen's domination for this match,no pace can be injected from the attack dirve by any of our players. The second leg will be played at San Siro and to be frank,im not confidence that Milan can go far eventhough we might kick Bremen's butt.
Bremen in other hand have more than 25 shot to Milan's goal compare with almost nothing that can really shake Wender's defend offered by us.Another dissapointing game without Kaka,at least we can feel the excitement if Kaka was around but by carefully watching the game i will not put Milan as the favorite to win anything until a total make over is powered by Berlusconi pocket can be realise.

Diego definitely outplayed Ronaldinho. Mohd we were definitely right about Diego being a good buy for Milan huh? hehe.

Mohd i don't agree with you that Ambrosini is our 2nd best defensive midfielder. He played so slow during the Werder match and his tackling was reckless. Good thing the referee was lenient. Also it was his poor marking of Diego that led to Diego's goal. Gattuso is our best defensive midfielder and Flamini is 2nd (Flamini played well again), Ambrosini 3rd and Emerson last last LAST.

Dida is back to his old quality self again. He might be even worthy of being #1 choice GK again if he continues this form. If it wasn't for him we would have surely lost. Senderos and Bonera were disappointing.

Azmus you are correct when you say that Paloschi is more like a 2nd striker like Pato. But Pato's learning to become a mix of Ronaldo99 and Sheva7. Maybe we can train Paloschi to be a mix of Inzaghi and Giusseppe Rossi from Villareal/Rodrigo Palacio from Boca Jrs. I'm a fan of Palacio, very fast and versatile 2nd striker-winger-midfielder but he's too old now (27)..but Galliani likes them old. hahaha

Did you guys know Giuseppe Rossi is a big fan of AC Milan?

i think if we get Gourcuff and Paloschi back and maybe sign Giusseppe Rossi or Benzema we can play a 4-3-3 with Rijkaard in charge. Might work. what do you guys think?

CheMamat: i heard that Nesta had to go have another surgery.. this is sounding very bad. We need to sign Santocroce, Luisao, and Agger to compensate. Return Senderos and sell Kaladze + Emerson + Bonera to make room. I also read Agger already completed a medical & pre-contract with Milan and will come next season since he's mad at Liverpool.

hahaha...vit..
I agree in your disagreement....
for me ambro in no matter u guys view him is a great player and will contribute better works than flamini if gattuso is out like the current situation....
flamini have a better pace but his tackling is much worst than ambro, ambro have experiance and he will not always make silly tackles bcoz he know a tackle in the area of 25 meters from the goal can cost us the game....
but i do agree that flamini like pato and cuffy is getting mature and it just a matter of time before flamini take away ambro's reign as the top defensive midfielder in milan....

Vit,i wanted somebody like Mario Gomez and Benzema to replace Inzaghi not Poloschi..
It's easy, look at his height and his toughness..He can be a good or even great 2nd striker because of his pace and skills but not as the lone striker up top and he is not a real centre forward.

Rodrigo is not at European standard,he dont score a lot of goal and he is not at Aguero,Teves and Lavezzi abilities..
So he'll find it hard to play with the best in Milan, better go with G.Rossi like you suggest..
What a player he have been since he moves from Man.Utd,awesome player and to be successful at Spain is not easy and he did good in his first season..

Becks is near to join us,Galliani bald head is sweating heavily when Galaxy ask more than 10 million we initialy offered.

Rokku said...

hahaha....its he idea to get becks so serve him right...
if we dont get becks we can called cuffy back and get pennant in the summer....
he can join us for free then....

Mohd and Vit,Ambro and Flamini is a great defensive midfielder. We have to evaluate their true performence not just in recent match but actually they are not doing bad troughout this season. Its a liltle bit sad to see Flamini did not get a deserve playing time but Ambro is important because of his experiance and like Mohd said he didn't like to make silly tackle like Flamini and Gattuso. In fact Ambro have quite a good pace

We play a boring game without Kaka, buy Diego and bring back cuffy.Add more creative attacking talent and next season we'll be unbeatable..

Azmus: I don't want Rodrigo to join Milan. I agree he's not up to european standards but i'm just a fan of his. hehe.

Benzema and Rossi would be great additions to the squad if we change Managers. If Rijkaard comes he will want to play his 4-3-3 or a 3-4-3 i'm sure of it.

3-4-3 if Rijkaard comes
" / " indicates alternate player

Gk: Abbiatti/Dida

3: Zambrotta/Bonera ; Nesta/Ambrosini/Kaladze; T.Silva/Antonini

4: Gourcuff/Beckham ; Gatusso/Pirlo ; Kaka/Seedorf ; Jankulovski/Flamini

3: Pato ; Benzema ; Rossi/Paloschi

strong squad? i think so.
and enough class players to make substitutions for injury, suspensions, slumps, etc.

i can't balance the 4-3-3.. we have too many midfielders. hehehe

Mohd: I want Ambrosini to become a defender. I think he can be a great sweeper in the 3-4-3. He will be Baresi Jr.!!! (maybe?)

Rodrigo is cool but wasn't going to be great playa'..
Nice suggestion Vit altough I feel better Scolari than Rijkaard, scolari knows all the brazilian at Milan and his Problem at chelsea is his communication skill..
He cant speak english no matter how hard he learn it..
Pity that old guy,he's unable to remember the word and the thing he study from his tutor..hhaaha

kaka,Ronnie,Dida etc...can work well with him and another one is he have criticise chelsea about Roman's reluctant to bring Robinho to Chelsea and left him with a bunch players that unable to work his formation..

Rokku said...

ince vit have brought up his next season new and old player combination....
this are mine....
including...(according to berlusconi transfer policy)
Guiseppe Biava from Genoa(impressed me this whole season, superb central defender, not going to cost us much)
Kareem Benzema(eventhough he's expensive,i still wanted him at san siro....hahaha)
overall we might not spending too much...huhuhu...

............ABBIATI............
ANTONINI..THIAGO..BIAVA..ZAMBROTTA SUB(BONERA,SANDEROS,ETC)
BECKHAM....GATTUSO....GOURCUFF SUB(PIRLO,AMBRO,FLAMINI,ETC)
............KAKA...............
............PATO.............. SUB(PIPPO,SHEVA,BORIELLO)
...........BENZEMA............

would this become reallity???nah...not in a million years...hahahaha....

this is the line up without an improvement...

...........ABBIATI..............
ANTONINI..THIAGO..SANDEROS..ZAMBROTTA
BECKHAM....GATTUSO....GOURCUFF...
PATO......BORIELLO....KAKA

not bad rite????huhu...bring cuffy back and look at that...the pace can be injected from any position of the pitch.

Mohd@Acu,not in a million years??haha.Berlu need to be kick in the ass before he'll make any big moves.
We have superb youth player,Darmian,Thiago,Mattioni,Pato and many more in the youth level and out on loan, but Carletto dont use them, fuck Carletto!!
All the formation up there should not include Carletto as the coach..

--------abbiati--------
zambro--thiago--nesta--janku
gourcuff-gattuso--pirlo
pato----pippo---kaka

nice 4-3-3 formation Che Mamat! I can imagine Rijkaard at Milan using it.

Becks can be Gourcuff's substitute
Flamini can be Gattuso's sub
Seedorf can substitute Pirlo
Paloschi can substitute Pato
Ronaldinho can substitute Kaka

all we need is to buy Benzema and SuperPippo can be his substitute!

so that means we should get sell: Emerson and Borriello and loan Sheva to make some extra money

then we should buy Benzema and bring back Paloschi and Gourcuff.

wow guys! I think Che Mamat's formation is VERY possible if Rijkaard comes!

Azmus i'm not so sure about Scolari. I'm also a fan of his and i agree with you it's not his fault chelsea became shyte. It was the BIG EGO players.
But he's the same as Ancelotti. He uses the same tactics and doesn't want to change it if its not working. But at least Scolari knows how to use the youth and he plays my favorite 4-2-3-1 formation hehe.

my personal choice would be Hiddink. But i'm pretty sure Rijkaard will take over if Ancelotti leaves.

Anonymous said...

Also we need to buy Santacroce since I don't think Nesta's going to recover anytime soon. Gah! i miss Nesta so much..

Rokku said...

Vit....
Scolari is a worldclass coach sadly his man management skills a lil bit poor.....
one more thing is his strengh is he knows how work the brazillian players butt....huhu
honestly rijkaard is not my pick to be our coach....
but if carletto does go we need to seek for a coach that is at the same level as carletto....
although his decision to play the veteran really makes me angry,he's still a good tactician.....
mistake in my formation....
i use antonini as the right back and zambro as the leftback bcoz i wanted to play janku at the left wing....
so its....

..............ABBIATI...............
ANTONINI..THIAGO..SANDEROS..ZAMBROTTA
BECKS........GATTUSO.....JANKULOVSKI.
..............KAKA..................
..............PATO..................
............BORIELLO................

im putting sanderos bcoz i didn't belive that nesta can recovered from his injury....

if scolari does come my line up will be totally different....

Anonymous said...

Im with acu in this one,Scolari have the best tactics and know how to make brazil become more stable and balance in attack and defend..
So having him at Milan we will still be the balance side we always be and attack with more confidence..
Acu,lets face it the formation above will be the one for us..
There will be no big change at Milan..

Anonymous said...

I'll go with all youth this time.hehe

===========Abbiati========
Mattioni=Thiago=Sanderos=Zambrotta
Darmian===Gattuso===Jankulovski
==========Gourcuff==========
============Kaka=============
===========Pato=============

I heard about Darmian is being label as the new Pirlo,Acu label Thiago as the new Ivan Cordoba and i agree with that.
Forza Milan

Anonymous said...

Yup I heard that too Wawarinka. Also Santacroce is labeled as the new Nesta. Flamini is the new Gattuso, Pato is the new Shevchenko, Gourcuff is the new Zidane, and Kaka is Kaka. haha. (To me Kaka is the modern Pele...they both play very gracefully in the "hole" as a playmaker and striker)

we need to find the new Maldini.

If Scolari comes to Milan I'll be happy also. Like i said i'm a fan. Azmus and Mohd you guys are correct. he will make the 4-2-3-1 work with Gourcuff - Kaka - Ronaldinho attacking midfield and Pato as the lone striker.

I read many reports new and old that say Leonardo will be Ancelotti's successor and not Rijkaard, Donadoni, or anyone else.
Leonardo doesn't have experience though. But maybe he can revive Milan like Pep Guardiola did to Barca?

Rokku said...

like i post here before....
leonardo is the favorite to replace carletto....
and in fact he sign all of those players....
mattioni,thiago,pato,kaka,cafu,emerson....etc
so why not gave him a chance....

im looking at him and see he's trying to build his own team...
fuck it if caletto dont use them....
i will one day....he say.....hahahaha

Anonymous said...

Its scary to think about that Mohd,he dont have the knowledge about it..Although he might have learn a thing or two from Carletto..Let put the more senior Milano, like Baresi and Billy for the job..

Anonymous said...

Agree,he is building his own style and philosophy at Milan(i mean Leonardo)
He will make a drastic change and start beliving in the youth again.
Im all out supporting him as the next manager for us

Guys i have a question.

who should we keep?

Gourcuff or Ronaldinho?

my opinion:
Keep Gourcuff sell Ronaldinho to City.

Gourcuff still has potential and he doesn't interfere with Kaka, Pirlo, or Beckham's gameplay.
Ronnie when he plays with Pirlo, Beckham, or Kaka is either ineffective or he hampers the others when he plays well.
Gourcuff for me is also more flexible of a player than Ronaldinho and even if Cuffy's not as fast as Kaka, he's still young and he's definitely faster than Ronaldinho.

your thoughts everyone?

Anonymous said...

Cuffy needs to prove himself while he play at France,he have manage to put himself back as the top player in France and regain the respect from the fan and critics..Cuffy position is similar to Kaka, that perhaps will restrict his chance to play regularly..What I really sure is he's a superbly talented boy..

Anonymous said...

Vit!,Good question pal..Sell Ronnie!!..Buy new striker,we should have go with Adebayor at first and forget Ronnie..Its all Berlu's idea to bought him,Imagine if he's a Rossoneri right now??,We have sit pridely at the top of Serie A..

Anonymous said...

Keep Cuffy,If Carletto is stupid enough to loan him last season. There's a 120% chance that he will let him go with a cheap price.I will curcumcise him like Mohd@Acu have experiance before, ask Mohd@Acu whether its hurt or not.Hahahahahahaha.

Rokku said...

Wawarinka...
how do u know that muslim have to curcumcise???
hahaha...
let me show u how hurt it gets....!!!

Anonymous said...

I heard Acu is crying like a baby when his w***** got slash,Wakakaka.
I better run.......haha

Rokku said...

Mamat.....
your mom tell me that u had a infection at your ****** hahahahaha.....
and it have to remove forever......
don't lie to us here.....hahahahahaha........

Rokku said...

Vit....
i personaly feel we shouldn't sell both of them.....
but if selling ronnie can generate many $$$$$ why not????
only man.city is stupid enough to buy him at ridiculous pricetag....

next season we have to aqcuire new striker....
i mean top penalty box striker....
either mario gomez, benzema or adebayor will suit me.....
but u guys know who is my top pick.....hhahahaha....
if we cant afford him....
mario or adebayor is top enough.....
adebayor come first.....

Anonymous said...

I just can't see Ronnie's "use" in the club. He plays such a limited role. He's clearly not as good and fast as Kaka in attack while even Pirlo and Beckham create more plays than Ronnie.

I don't believe Mario Gomez is good enough for Milan. He's just a taller Marco Borriello. If Borriello played in Germany he'd score even more goals than Gomez.

Adebayor.. he's good but i'm tired of Milan bringing the 2nd best player in. We need to try bringing only the best into the club.

our victory against Cagliari tonight shows how much we're lacking in Attack without Kaka and Pato.

why was Pato and Ronnie missing tonight?

Anonymous said...

why don't we just loan Shevchenko to Galaxy until Beckham's contract with Galaxy expires in October???

i think that's a good plan. Sheva will get his confidence back after he scores many Many MANY goals in stupid MLS, while Becks gets to stay and in the end we get both players since Becks won't renew his contract with Galaxy. hahaha

Anonymous said...

I think Gallianis first objective should be to sign a world class defender like Agger, then we should bring back Paloschi and Gourcuff to inject pace and youth into our aging Milan side. We have improved so much from last year, and with two more signings we will conquer the Serie A and Europe once again. FORZA MILAN
